From my name, I hope u can tell im nigerian. Tnks for recognising the sacrificies some people had to pay during that awful biafran war for the sake of peace. My dad lost his hearing as a result of all the bombs and cannons. That being said, maude’s story was refreshing. I could identify with her every emotion, I cried at the contract she had to sign with her foster parents, I laughed at the hot spicy mexican dish ( I hav a thing for hot chilli peppers and I love to see the faces of those who try my favourite pepper sauce for the first time ℓ☺ℓ) I understood her dream of being her own person, I fell inlove with her innocence, at the same time wishing I cud steal matt away from her. *Winks* Victoria and her wonderful family are every orphan’s dream. Anna you simply do justice to them all.

Thanks so much Chinwe! I’m really touched by your comment. The Biafran war isn’t often mentioned in history classes so I thought it was important to talk about it. The Biafran war was the reason Doctors without borders was created by a Frenchman, Bernard Kouchner. He’s a politician everybody knows in France, but I don’t think he’s really known for that!
Glad you liked Maude and the Baldwin family and Matt, lol.
    I love spicy dishes!

This series has really touched my heart. Everyone can learn valuable life lessons from these books. You have a way of writing that explains to people what every side goes through without being bias. The books were perfect for me to read and seemed so realistic given the concept. There aren’t words that can describe the feeling and understanding I get when reading your books, With each book I read them in one sitting, start to end. To this day I consistently think of these books and how emotional I get could be found disturbing, but they are truly amazing. I can’t stop thinking about what should happen next. My dreams at night are fluttered with imagery of what could possibly happen in the fourth book. Your books were beautiful to read and the moment I read the first one I bought the second and the moment the third one released I bought that as well. I hope there is a fourth book on the way, with more ups downs and twists on Maude’s life. Thanks

  27. annaadams333 says:

I just finished the 3rd book and thank you for such a great book. You are an inspiration to me, its amazing how Maude can have such a lovely soul and heart. My dream is to be an actress and a singer, even though I am only 12, I have already dreamed about this dream for more than 7 years. It gives me a motivation to keep moving forward. It puts a smile on my face after long days. Every day, I worry but I know now that I will try my hardest and be the best I can be to fufill my dream. I will never forget this book series. Thank you, Anna. ( I hope you can call you that, remember the ending? 😉 )

I know this may seem silly, but I feel like you’re a good friend of mine 🙂 Keep writing amazing books because you are amazing at it and I know that you will not give up easily too. Can’t wait for the 4th book and btw. I really love Maude and Matt but please i beggg you please write about Thomas because you have no idea how much i love him. Thomas is like my ahhh i don’t even know how to explain haha. Sorry for the long essay spam.

  31. Soph13 says:

I have read every book in the French grill series and I love them! The first two books drove me crazy, in a good way, with the Maude & Matt situation. Rebecca and Thomas and Lindsey kept getting in the way! When I read the third book, I almost cried when they got back together. It has been such a long struggle for them, and the part in the garden really sealed it.
Thank you for your amazing books! I will be eagerly waiting for the 4th one!!! The books really opened my eyes to reading new genres, and such. (I had this habit of reading books over and over again.) you’re books helped a lot.
    Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!! 😀

  32. annaadams333 says:

Thanks Soph13. I really hope you’ll like the final book in the series!

Hi.My name is Aditi and I am a reader from India. The French Girl Series is Heart Touching.
I just hope that it never ends.I have not been obsessed with a book series this much since I was 10.
I heard you singing ‘Betrayed but Not Broken’ on Youtube. It is Awesome. The Biafran war is not mentioned much in History but the amount of Damage it caused is really horrible.I really love your books. Please don’t end this series………….

  40. Aditi says:

And when I was 10 I used to Read Harry Potter and Books by Enid Blyton………………………….
Now I know that The American Girl series and The French Girl series are somehow connected I am going to go after that series now.One of my Friends is from African background so I know teeny tiny bits of that country’s history.
Once again please don’t end the series………………………………………

  41. Nikita.R.Chivonvoni says:

Hi anna.I’ve been one to always love books from….I don’t know when .I read your book french girl in new york and i knew it was my favourite book in the world!!!!!!mmI read it when it I was ten and I finshed it in a day! You’ll be suprised how crazy I am about books.I love how you mixed maude’s cultures .

  42. Arya says:

This series is one of The Best I have ever read. I loved it all and have read all these books again and again. Made has given me the inspiration to put my soul into the pieces I play on the piano. Having listened to the original soundtrack I honestly was enchanted and listened to it for months and have decoded the notes so I can play them on my Piano. I especially loved The American Girl in Paris series and particularly how Aria and Maxime evolve from Rivals to friends and then lovers. It was sort of expected but the way you have written it is enchanting. I cry every time I read the last chapter of the second book. Are You going to continue this series? Just for fun, I did some research and it seemed like the series is true. I was pulled even more towards the series. the last few chapters of American singer in Paris are sharing a mixed palette of emotions, marking the fact that I like most: Everything doesn’t have to be perfect and not every story has a happy ending. real-life is messy. Both series have given me a tremendous amount of inspiration. Hoping to read the next book really soon.

  43. Julia says:

Hi! I want to tell you that this book series is truly nice. I personally agree with Arya. I have the same thoughts, to be honest. It’s like I don’t know how to describe it But all I wanted to say is already said here … It just feels so good… Hoping to read the next book really soon.[As of now, I’m in India with my mum’s family, We came last year but we are stuck here, so the only thing I am sad about is that the 6th book is really expensive here, and apart from it being expensive its also the fact that it’s on a digital print, so I can’t even read it as my kindle is at home or I would definitely buy it, also can we have another box set of the series again, only its easier that way]Hoping to read the next book really soon.
